Back to swapping!

It's been a while since I've participated in a swap-bot swap, but I have been extremely busy with taking care of my 5 month old baby boy twins! The truth is that they need constant attention, but things are getting easier as they grow up. As I love Christmas, I couldn't resist the temptation of participating in a few Christmas themed swaps-and it has been also a lovely way to unwind!
So, for the Breakfast Delivery swap, Doris (Obstminkerl) from Austria received a selection of breakfast edibles and drinks:

For the Gift under my tree swap, Marjan (Sneeuwvlokje) from the Netherlands received a small notebook, some Accessorize stickers, a pair of blue nylon socks and a Christmas card...

nicely wrapped in Christmas paper:

Finally, in a couple of days, Kristyl (thedreamer) from Malta will receive some fuzzy socks, a handmade owl ornament, an elephant notepad, a nail file, a cupcake themed notebook, a lip balm and a Christmas card for the Christmas Surprise swap:

I hope that the girls enjoy their little surprises in the mail!

Private swap with Jane - sent

In December I hosted another Christmas themed swap on Swap-Bot, this time with Jane (Pennyblack). The swap entailed the mailing of 10+1 gifts, but the same medical reasons already mentioned before prevented me from sending my swap on time. I was able to send the swap today, and this is what I sent:
I included a lot of stationery items...
...some Accessorize stickers and earrings...
...and a romantic fan, which Jane really wanted and I hope she likes:
This is how everything looked wrapped and ready to go:

Private swap with Miranda -sent

This is my version of the Christmas swap that I owed Miranda from the United Kingdom. Unfortunately, health reasons prevented me from sending it on time and I ended up sending it in February. On top of everything I forgot to take a picture of the wrapped gifts, ready to go, so here is just a shot of the items that I sent, before wrapping:

Yummy chocolate chip muffins from Betty Crocker

The other day I was craving chocolate chip muffins and I surfed the Internet in order to find a recipe that would look appealing to me. I decided to go with Betty Crocker's version that I found on a Greek blog and the result was very satisfying: moist, chewy, delicious chocolate chip muffins!
So, in order to give it a try, you will need the following ingredients:

- One glass (around 220 ml) of buttermilk
- Half glass of melted unsalted butter
- One egg
- 1 and 3/4 glasses of flour
- 3/4 glass of caster sugar
- 1/2 glass of bitter cocoa
- One teaspoon of baking soda
- One teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 glass of chocolate chips

Method:
Preheat the oven to 190 Degrees Celsius. Fill a twelve muffin baking tray with paper cups.

In on bowl, mix the dry ingredients: the flour, the sugar, the cocoa, the baking soda, the vanilla extract, the salt and the chocolate chips. In another bowl mix the butter with the buttermilk and the egg. Combine the two mixtures and mix well.

Fill the paper cups and bake for around 15-20 minutes. Adjust the baking time to your individual oven and test the muffins with a toothpick, to make sure that they are done.

Allow to cool slightly and remove from the baking tray.

Enjoy!

Private swap with Jane from England-received

This is another swap I hosted before Christmas and this time it was between me and Jane (Pennyblack) from the United Kingdom. It entailed the mailing of 10 + 1 bigger gifts, just in time for Christmas.
This is how Jane's gifts looked liked, still wrapped in their Christmas wrapping paper:
The Christmas gifts were tailored to my profile and all of them will be put into good use!

Private swap with Miranda - received

Before Christmas, I hosted a private swap with Miranda from the U.K., which was about exchanging 12 Christmas and one bigger gift. This is how the swap looked like, still wrapped in Christmas paper:
Miranda took time to go through my profile and I liked every single item that she sent:
I particularly enjoyed the mince pies, a traditional British Christmas treat that I cannot find here in Greece!
